My Nikon's broke

My little brother had another one of his boyish overactive fits and ran it clean off the table. Now the flash is broken, then shutter is broken and... well, actually only the screen's still okay...

I'm so pissed because there's no one to be pissed at, I know my brother didn't do it on purpose, but it's not the first time he's wrecked any of my stuff. While in another one of his fits he jerked at the controller of my PS2 and pulled it off the TV. Broke as well, it wouldn't read any of my games.

I got this camera for my sixteenth birthday after hinting endlessly with my parents half knowing they'd never get me something that expensive. I was screaming with joy the entire day when they got me one anyway. So yeah, it has a pretty high emotional value to me as well. I was so glad that FINALLY I didn't have to work with that annoying Sony Cybershot anymore. I almost wept when I saw how clear the pictures and how smooth the colours were.

Worst thing is, my mother can't even remember where she bought the thing so she doesn't know where to get it fixed. I'm away all summer, first walking through the beautiful landscapes of Spain and then onto the plane to the USA for my exchange programme, so I really need that camera! I was going to bring it along to my weekend with my boyfriend as well but I guess I better just forget about that. Even if my mum does find a way to get it fixed, it's never going to be ready by the time I leave.

Sigh... It feels like a part of me just died or something...
